Privacy Policy

Purpose of This Privacy Notice

We are a business that undertakes data analysis and data mining for outside companies, and we also undertake the construction of databases to convert data compiled in spreadsheet format into a more useful business tool.

We also provide access to third party analysis data and services that are found on other websites, and for which we take payment. We therefore need to process certain limited personal data only (and which does not include personal identifiable data) for the lawful purpose of being able to provide access to that data and those other services, and thereby we act as the data controller of such personal data. This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use the personal data about you, and we are required under data protection legislation to notify you about this, which is the purpose of this Privacy Notice.

We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal data of all those who make payment via this website, whether or not that data identifies the individual. Accordingly, in line with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (the "GDPR"), this Privacy Notice informs you about what personal data we collect, how we collect and store it, and how we use it both while you access the data/information on our website and afterwards (when your right to access the data and services on our website or those other websites has expired). This Privacy Notice also informs all visitors to our website about the use of cookies and the like in regard to our website.

We require all our workforce (management and staff members) to comply with the data protection law as specified by the GDPR, which requires that the personal data we hold about you must be:

Used lawfully and in a transparent way.
Collected only for valid purposes that we have clearly explained to you, and not used in any way that is incompatible with those purposes.
Relevant to the purposes we have told you about and limited only to those purposes.
Accurate and kept up-to-date.
Retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes we have told you about.
Kept securely, such that unauthorised access thereto or use thereof is, as far as possible, avoided.

How We Collect Your Data

The only time that we collect any personal data from you (and then only in a form that does not identify who you are) is when you are required to make a payment via this website. Our staff are trained NOT to ask for any other personal data and certainly not for any personally sensitive data in any way at any time, neither through the website nor by email. If you are at any time requested by one of our representatives to supply any personal data that could identify you, please therefore immediately contact our Data Protection Officer (Ms. C. Estolano) by sending an email to adminDPO@bw-dataservices.com.

Personal Data We Collect

We do not require, and therefore do not collect, personal identifiable data of any sort from anybody who visits this website. By this, we mean that no personal data we collect from you could ever be used to identify who you are or reveal any details about you personally. However, we do collect the following non-identifiable personal data that we need in order to be able to give access to the information provided on other websites where we provide the means to access their data and services:

Your User Name.
Your email address for the purpose of receiving the confirmation of registration notice sent by AWeber and to allow us to send emails to you without being accused of sending unsolicited (spam) emails.
A password selected by you, which is held by us in encrypted (hashed) form only (but which can be deciphered by our encryption program in order to allow you access, after you have logged in, to the data and services on any of our websites that you have paid for getting access to).

If you provide us the information stated above, you shall therefore be deemed to have given us express permission to store your individual non-identifiable personal data. Further, by your use of this website and thereby gaining access to our other websites, you acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions of this Privacy Notice and the purposes for and the methods by which processing/storage of your personal data is undertaken by us.

This Privacy Notice does not cover the privacy policies of any other websites that our website may link to, and we therefore encourage all visitors to our website to read the privacy statements on those other websites that are linked to from our website before divulging any personal identifiable information to those other websites.

If, after reading the above and the following, you require any more information or have any questions about our Privacy Policy, please feel free to contact us by email via our said Data Protection Officer at adminDPO@bw-dataservices.com.

Data Sharing

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the processing of your data is handled employing the highest standards of security and maintaining the integrity of such data at all times. We only use reputable widely known and highly respected third-party service providers in an effort to ensure that the aims of our Privacy Policy will be upheld and that the privacy of your personal data is safeguarded.

It is our strict policy not to sell or in any other way whatsoever pass on your personal data to any third party that does not have a legal right to such data. Disclosure by us of any of your personal data will only ever be undertaken in accordance with applicable laws. Where any disclosure is purely for statistical use/analysis, such disclosure will not include personal data. Other information will be disclosed only to the extent necessary to comply with the express requirements of authorities having legal power to demand and/or be provided with such information.

If we become aware of any breach of the security of your personal data, then we will notify you by email immediately we become aware of such breach.

Retaining and Deleting Your Personal Data

If for any reason we have been required to collect personal data from you that could identify you (such as to identify you if somebody else has perhaps hacked into your account), then we will hold it only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we will consider the nature/sensitivity of that data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of that data, the purposes for which we process your personal data, whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

If you decide that you no longer wish to be contacted by us in any way, including by email, please contact our Data Protection Officer at adminDPO@bw-dataservices.com.

Correspondence from emails sent and received are stored in AWeber's system in case it is necessary to refer back at a later date for reference and information purposes..

Rights of Access, Correction and Deletion of Personal Data

You have the right to:

Request correction or deletion of any personal data that we may be holding about you.
Object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground.
Request the restriction of processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal data about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it. There may be circumstances where we will still need to process your data for legal or official reasons, and we will inform you if this is the case; but in any case, we will restrict the data to only what is necessary for the purpose of meeting those specific reasons.

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights in respect of personal data protection), although we may charge a reasonable fee if your request for access is clearly unfounded or excessive or, alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in such circumstances.

If you wish to review, verify, correct or request deletion of your personal data, or object to the processing of your personal data, please email our Data Protection Officer at adminDPO@bw-dataservices.com. In the event that you are not satisfied with our response, or if you believe that we have not properly handled your data protection rights, then you are also entitled to raise concerns with any relevant supervisory authority.
